C.O.D.E. is a new special unit within the Ukrainian police forces and the name of the AI computer program that the unit uses to ensure that no crime goes unpunished.

The history of the new special unit begins with the investigation of a number of high-profile murders of foreign nationals that occur simultaneously in Transcarpathia and Kiev. Ambassadors and consuls demand that the best forces be brought in immediately. The case is an ideal testing ground for the newly developed computer program CODE, which almost instantly analyses a large amount of diverse data. Based on AI analysis, dream team consisting of the best investigators of SIA Agency (The Trace) and Water Police is assembled. They are the C.O.D.E, Criminal Operational Department, capable of solving crimes on land and water.
